Reflecting upon the completion of my Capstone Project Electronic Portfolio...

My time spent at Penn State these past five years can be best summarized as both trying and rewarding. I can not imagine a better book end to my college career then the work done this past academic year. The AE department has commissioned us to perform technical analyses of our chosen projects and perform research on critical issues facing our industry as part of our thesis project and then document our work through our CPEP sites. Us seniors were given the opportunity to put on display our commitment to utilizing the world class education in engineering we've received. We have concluded with a demonstration of our abilities to identify problems in building design and construction processes and offer recommendations to improve upon those issues.

This thesis project could not have been made possible without the support of the construction team at the Ballpark Village in San Diego, the entire AE department here at Penn State and my family and friends throughout this past year.

Modifications and changes related to the original building designs and construction methodologies for this senior thesis project are solely the interpretation of Matthew Windmiller. Changes and discrepancies in no way imply that the original design contained errors or was flawed. Differing assumptions, code references, requirements, and methodologies have been incorporated into this thesis project; therefore, investigation results may vary from the original design.
